God painted an unforgettable
picture for Abraham when He said; I will multiply your seed as the stars
of heavens and the sand, which is on the seashore. God spoke an abstract
reality that was relative to something that Abraham comprehend. He communicated
to Joseph through dreams. Jesus used parables and comparisons rich with
spiritual significance. He was careful in His presentation –He tailored
the characters, analogies and symbolisms to the region or lifestyle in
which He was ministering. Because they were familiar with the terms they
would eventually “get it” once the eyes of their understanding was enlightened.
...AND SO WILL YOURS |
For years, I have been a student
of the scripture and have been writing that which was on God's heart.
Then suddenly He decided that He wanted to speak some things through art.
His desire was to package the primary message of the kingdom in a different
way. With loving kindness,
through the art, the
Father draws people to Himself to increase their desire for Christ … to
be formed in His likeness and to want to please only Him. The real
change is in their time alone with God …the art has within it a drawing
to go into the Secret Place where they are transformed into the image
of His dear Son.
I can share the thrill and amazement I experience as I watch the testimonies
and remarks from people who have seen and touched the art. Without exception,
each piece has the impartation to accomplish the work that He said it
would.Many have
wept as they explained how they had seen the places in dreams and visions.
Some express the emotions and describe the experience that it provokes
within them. I watch bondages and strongholds literally begin to crumble
...revelation come alive within them ... people gently drawn to higher
levels of commitment to evangelism, worship, intimacy and other things
that God has purposed within the art.
I am not sure what to call
the style. I read an expose on the beginning of
abstract
expressionism and felt an instant witness with the description.
You may be interested in the origin of the style ..."born out of response
to war". Interesting to say the least. Take the description of the style
over into the spiritual realm with the inspiration and emotions being
expressed from the Heart of God. War ... struggle between good and evil,
struggle between soul and spirit.
It is difficult to speak about the work of your own hands ...that which
is from God but is done through you. (see a
third party explanation of what God determines to do through the
arts in this season)
